THE IMPACT OF EGO – TOURISM TOWARDS
ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION IN JAKARTA OLD TOWN
This study analyze how the modern world phenomenon of Ego-Tourism affects environmental
pollution in Jakarta Old City. This research adopted the quantitative method and used the nonprobability method with purposive sampling to determine the sample. The data were collected using
questionnaires, distributed to 170 Indonesian citizens that previously had visited Jakarta Old Town.
The results were tested using SPSS. The results show a significant influence from Ego-Tourism to
environmental pollution in Jakarta Old Town,
